Aggregate Testing Technician Level II

The Southern California Chapter of ACI would like to announce the availability for the Aggregate Testing Technician Level II Certification.  To become a Certified Aggregate Testing Technician Level II the candidate must possess a current Aggregate Testing Technician Level I certification, receive a passing grade on the ACI written and performance examination, and successful completion of the ACI performance examination of the following AASHTO and/or ASTM Standards:

  • T96* / C131* - Resistance to Degradation of Small-Size Coarse  Aggregate by Abrasion and Impact in the Los Angeles Machine
  • C535* - Resistance to Degradation of Large-Size Coarse Aggregate by Abrasion and Impact in the Los Angeles Machine
  • T112 / C142 - Clay Lumps and Friable Particles in Aggregate
  • D4791 - Flat Particles, Elongated Particles, or Flat and Elongated Particles in Coarse Aggregate
  • T19 / C29 - Bulk Density (Unit Weight) and Voids in Aggregate
  • T104* / C88* - Soundness of Aggregates by Use of Sodium Sulfate or Magnesium Sulfate
  • T113 / C123 - Lightweight Pieces in Aggregate
  • T176 / D2419 - Plastic Fines in Graded Aggregates and Soils by Use of the Sand Equivalent Test
  • T304 / C1252 - Uncompacted Void Content of Fine Aggregate
  • D5821 - Determining the Percentage of Fractured Particles in Coarse Aggregate

*--- NO PERFORMANCE TEST ON THIS STANDARD

Please note this is not a training class. The date scheduled is for the exam date only. Books will be mailed to the address provided at registration one month prior to the class and it is the registrants responsibility to study and prepare for the exam.
