Aggregate Base Testing Technician

The Southern California Chapter of ACI would like to announce the availability for the Aggregate Base Testing Technician Certification.  This certification is designed for all personnel involved in laboratory testing and consists of a written examination of the following AASHTO and/or ASTM standards:

  • T2 / D75 - Sampling Aggregates
  • T248 / C702 - Reducing Field Samples of Aggregates to Testing Size
  • T87* / D421 - Dry Preparation of Disturbed Soil and Soil Aggregate Samples for Test
  • T89 / D4318  - Determining the Liquid Limits of Soils
  • T90 / D4318 - Determining the Plastic Limit and Plasticity Index of Soils
  • T88 / C422 - Particle Size Analysis of Soils
  • T265 / D2216  - Laboratory Determination of Moisture Content of Soils
  • T180 / D1557 - Moisture-Density Relations of Soils Using a 4.54-kg (10-lb) Rammer and a 457-mm (18-in) Drop
  • T99 / D698 - Moisture-Density Relations of Soils Using a 2.5-kg (5.5-lb) Rammer and a 305-mm (12-in) Drop

Please note this is not a training class. The date scheduled is for the exam date only. Books will be mailed to the address provided at registration prior to the class and it is the registrants responsibility to study and prepare for the exam.
