The Southern California Chapter of ACI would like to announce the availability for the Aggregate Base Testing Technician Certification. This certification is designed for all personnel involved in laboratory testing and consists of a written and performance examination of the following AASHTO and/or ASTM standards:
*--NO PERFORMANCE EXAM ON THIS STANDARD
Please note this is not a training class and there is no examination at the scheduled Program Procedure meeting. Attendance to the Program Procedure meeting is MANDATORY, as study material will be handed out at this meeting. Please sign up for ONE Program Procedure meeting (April, July, or October). The performance examinations will be held at each applicant's respective laboratory, or a lab of ACI’s choice and a schedule of all examinations (written and performance) will be determined during the Program Procedure meeting. All applications and fees must be received at least 14 days prior to the Program Procedure meeting and pre-registration is mandatory.
Please join us this year to become part of the certified technicians of standards that we strive to uphold. Experience and knowledge of concrete testing of the previously mentioned ASTM/AASHTO procedures is highly recommended.
In regards to requests for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is not the Sponsoring Group’s responsibility to judge whether or not the individual could do the job if certification is granted. The Sponsoring Group’s only concern is whether or not the individual’s request for accommodation can be provided for and is reasonable. Under the act, the individual making the request must provide written documentation from a doctor or other healthcare provider. The individual must also provide a reasonable amount of lead time to fulfill the special request.
If you have a disability that may impact your participation in this activity, please check here and append a statement regarding your disability-related needs. We cannot assure the availability of appropriate accommodations without prior written notification of need.
