ACI Tilt-Up Certification

    The Southern California Chapter of ACI would like to announce the availability for the Tilt-Up Supervisor & Technician Certification Program.  This certification is designed for personnel meeting to following requirements:

    1.    A Tilt-Up Supervisor is a person who has demonstrated proficiency in and an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination and meeting work experience requirements.

    2.    A Tilt-Up Technician is a person who has an understanding of overall on-site administrative and technical management for producing tilt-up projects by passing the ACI written examination, but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a tilt-up supervisor.

    The program requires knowledge in the following areas of tilt-up construction:

    1)     Safety

    2)     Plan Reading

    3)     Scheduling

    4)     Site preparation and foundations

    5)     Slabs on grade

    6)     Layout

    7)     Forming

    8)     Concrete properties and placement

    9)     Erection

    10)  Structural Systems

                   

    Location of the Procedure Review meeting will be at:

    Please note this is not a training class and there is no examination at the Procedure Review meeting. Attendance to the Procedure Review meeting is MANDATORY, as study material will be handed out at this meeting.  Please contact us if are interested.  The performance examinations will be held at each applicant's respective laboratory, or lab of ACI’s choice and a schedule of all examinations (written and performance) will be determined during the Procedure Review meeting.  Application and fees must be received at least 14 days prior to the review meeting and pre-registration is mandatory.  Please mail your application and check, as noted in the application.
